Black Puma Future 7 Pro boots on grass

Puma have produced another quality boot but is the Puma Future 7 Pro good for players with wide feet?

Design and Construction:

Sleek is the first word that comes to mind when you see the Future 7 Pro. Designed to be used with or without laces the FUZIONFIT+ upper material hugs the foot like a glove. The strategic placement of PWRTAPE ensures a lockdown fit, complemented by a padded heel for unparalleled comfort. But it's not just about comfort - the textured upper not only enhances grip but also amplifies ball control. Beneath it all, the outsole blends more aggressive V-shaped blades with conical studs for the perfect balance of traction and agility.

Suitability for wide feet:

The Future 7 Pro has a fantastic shape which is well suited to players with a wider forefoot. It offers plenty of width across the entire forefoot. Having said that, the PWRTAPE which adds structure to the midfoot and improves lockdown may not suit players with a wider midfoot. If that applies to you, I suggest looking at boots with a more traditional lacing system such as the New Balance 442 v2 Pro, the Mizuno Morelia II Elite or the Adidas Copa Mundial.

To be aware:

The one downside I noticed when wearing the Future 7 Pro was that my heel was slipping a little in the back of the boot. I would prefer if the heel padding was slightly higher to help lock my heel into the boot, rather than being behind the middle of my heel.
